lexoffice

lexoffice, followed for you.

Your office follows the invoices you issue in lexoffice, reminds a late customer only when you press it, reads your suppliers' bills into your books, and prepares invoice drafts from finished appointments for you to finalise.

What your office does with lexoffice.

  • Follows your invoices. Every hour it reads the invoices you issued in lexoffice, knows which are open and overdue, and closes each one when lexoffice says it is paid. A paid invoice is never chased.
  • Reminds on your press. A polite, fixed reminder in German or another of seven languages, with the amount and your own payment details, from your own mailbox, only when you press Remind.
  • Reads your suppliers' bills from lexoffice into your books, as data, so the same bill arriving by mail is counted once.
  • Drafts invoices from appointments. When an appointment with a priced service is done, a draft invoice can be made in lexoffice, by your press or each morning if you switch it on. You finalise it there.

What it reads and writes

  • Reads your invoices and your suppliers' bills
  • Writes only invoice drafts, never final invoices
  • Never the same appointment twice

How to connect.

In lexoffice (now Lexware Office), create a public API key and paste it in your office. It is tried once against your account, and only then kept, sealed. A first reading of your invoices starts at once.

Your invoices stay legal invoices.

An invoice in Germany is made and numbered in your invoicing tool, so that is where it stays. Your office never finalises an invoice and never writes to lexoffice anything but a draft you asked for. Receipts and e-invoices such as XRechnung and ZUGFeRD are read into your books as well.

Questions

Asked before you start.

Is lexoffice the same as Lexware Office?

Yes. lexoffice is now called Lexware Office, and your office works with its current API.

Will it create invoices in my name?

Only drafts, and only when you press for one or switch on the morning drafts. You finalise every invoice in lexoffice yourself.

What does it need?

A public API key from your lexoffice account.
