IONOS, Strato, GMX or your host's mail, answered for you.
Your mailbox does not need to be Gmail. Connect any mailbox with IMAP, and your office answers your customers from your own rules, in the same conversation, from your own address, and leaves everything else alone.

The mailboxes it knows.
IONOS and Strato
Your mailbox on your own domain: your full email address and the mailbox's password. The servers are filled in for you.
GMX and WEB.DE
Switch on IMAP in the mailbox's settings first. With two-step sign-in on, create an app password there and use it instead of your password.
Telekom (T-Online)
Use the separate email password for mail programs from the Telekom customer centre, not your login password.
Zoho, iCloud and Yandex 360
Each with an app password made in its own account settings, and IMAP allowed where the provider asks for it.
Your web host's mail
cPanel, Plesk and other hosting: usually mail.yourdomain.com, shown in your hosting panel.
Gmail, without signing in with Google
With an app password from your Google account, Gmail connects the same way. See the Gmail page.
What your office does with the mailbox.
- Answers customers from your rules, in the same conversation, from your own address. A reply is filed in your Sent folder like one you wrote.
- Leaves the rest alone. Newsletters, notifications and spam are never answered, and mail whose sender the receiving server could not verify is never answered either.
- Files supplier invoices into your books, and keeps mail from your own people apart from customers.
- Saves drafts to your Drafts folder for your own people's mail, for you to send.
It never
- Marks your mail as read, or deletes it
- Uses a connection that is not encrypted
- Answers mail from before you connected
- Answers the same mail twice
How to connect.
Type your address, choose your provider and paste the password, or the app password where your provider needs one. Your office signs in to your mailbox once, to read and to send, and keeps the details only if both work, sealed. You can connect up to five mailboxes, such as info@ and sales@, and a reply always goes out from the mailbox the customer wrote to.
Asked before you start.
Does it work with my own domain?
Yes. A mailbox on your own domain at IONOS, Strato or your web host connects with its address and password.
Is my password safe?
It is tried once, then kept sealed, and used only over encrypted connections. Where your provider offers app passwords, use one: you can withdraw it at any time.
Will my read marks change?
No. Your office marks what it has dealt with in its own way and never touches your read or unread marks.
Is Outlook supported?
Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 by Microsoft sign-in are coming.

Free to set up, no card needed. It reads your website, asks what it could not find, and nothing goes live until you have checked it.
