Comparison
Lychnos Ring vs Pebble Index 01.
Both rings are for your voice, and both build on open-source software. One is the simplest, cheapest way to capture a thought; the other is being built to answer you.
In short. If you want to capture voice notes cheaply, with no plan, Pebble Index 01 is hard to beat. If you want an assistant that answers on your finger and works without the phone, that is what Lychnos Ring is being built for.

Why the price is so different
Index 01 records, and your phone turns the recording into text on the device; there is no plan to pay. Lychnos Ring carries its own mobile connection, a see-through screen and a speaker, and the plan pays for its data and its assistant. You pay for not needing the phone.
