AI companion
An AI companion, there when you reach for it.
Some call it an AI friend. Lychnos is a voice you can talk to whenever you like: to think something through, to ask for advice, or to put the day in order. Hold the ring, talk, and it answers at your ear.
Talk as much as you like
Ask for a second opinion before a meeting. Think out loud on a walk. Ask what a word means, how long the roast needs, or whether a claim you just heard is true. Conversation has no cap. Long talks are most comfortable through earbuds or, at home, the dock’s speaker; the ring stays the button you hold.
A companion that remembers what you allow
Lychnos keeps a short memory of what matters to you: the people you mention, your plans, how you like your answers. It uses that memory to be useful, and only that. You can read it, correct it and delete it in the app.
What it will not pretend
- It is an AI, and it says so.
- It asks before it acts for you, and two presses on the ring stop the robot at home.
- It is there to help your day, not to fill it: short answers by default, longer when you ask.
Your voice stays yours
The ring’s microphone works only while you hold the button. Your voice becomes text in our EU cloud and the clip is deleted right after; no voice is kept. Only the text of what you ask, and what that question needs, goes to the AI model.
At home, it can fly
Later, the same companion can live at home in Alkyon, a small robot that flies on its own, goes to look for you and lands on its dock. Its camera and microphones stay at home.
Questions
Is there a limit on talking?
No: talk as much as you like. Web searches come with a monthly allowance; when it runs out, the conversation goes on.
Is it a person?
No. Lychnos is an AI and says so. It is company for your day, not a replacement for the people in it.
What does it remember?
What matters to you, such as people, plans and preferences, and only what you let it keep. You can see, correct and delete its memory in the app.
