AI ring
The AI ring you talk to.
Lychnos Ring puts an assistant on your finger. Hold to talk, read the answer on a see-through screen, hear the rest at your ear. It has its own eSIM, so your phone can stay in your bag.
What an AI ring is
An AI ring connects you to an AI assistant from your finger. Most smart rings sold today track sleep and heart rate. A few newer ones record voice notes and pass them to an app on your phone. Lychnos Ring is made for conversation: you press and hold, you speak, and the answer comes back to the ring itself.
What makes Lychnos Ring different
- Its own eSIMOnce it is set up, the ring reaches Lychnos without your phone, wherever its mobile network reaches.
- A screen you see through72 by 40 pixels under clear resin, dark until you look. The first line of every answer, at a glance.
- A voice at your earA tiny speaker you hear with the ring raised to your ear, or earbuds with Bluetooth LE Audio.
- It asks firstSending a reply, moving a meeting or deleting anything waits for one press.
- Answers you feelTrue, false or not sure: each has its own buzz.
- Open firmwareThe ring’s firmware, the app and the protocol, under Apache-2.0.
- Tap to payPlanned: pay at shop terminals with a tap, through a payment partner. The ring holds a token, not your card number.
How it works
- Hold to talk. The microphone gets power only while you hold the button: a switch in the hardware, not a setting.
- Lychnos thinks. Your words travel over the ring’s eSIM to our cloud in the EU, where they become text. The voice clip is deleted right after.
- One buzz, the answer. The first line appears on the screen; raise the ring to hear the rest.
- One press: yes. Two presses stop Alkyon, the flying companion, at home.
What you can ask In development
- “What’s next today?” and a morning brief from your calendar, your mail, the weather and the traffic.
- “Tell me when Anna writes.” A buzz for the mail that matters; the rest waits.
- “Move my three o’clock to four.” Lychnos finds the slot and asks before it moves anything.
- “Watch my flight.” Or a price, or a news topic.
- “Is that true?” Repeat a claim you heard; Lychnos checks the claim, not the person, and buzzes the answer.

Health and sleep Second model
The first Lychnos Ring is built for conversation and keeps its whole battery for it. Health comes with the second model: sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability, skin temperature, stress, blood oxygen trends and blood pressure trends (set against a cuff once a month), as wellness insights rather than medical measurements, kept in our EU cloud with your explicit consent and shared with the assistant only if you allow it. Later, Lychnos can also read out the numbers from an approved glucose monitor you already wear. Why we chose this order.
Who it is for
People who want the useful part of their phone without the pull of its screen: in a meeting, on a walk, in the kitchen, at the desk. The ring does a few things all day and lets the phone stay in the bag. Read more about the phone-free assistant, or see how it compares with other AI rings.
Questions
Do I need my phone?
Only to set the ring up and connect your accounts. After that it reaches Lychnos over its own eSIM.
Which AI does it use?
Lychnos runs on current models we choose and test, with tools in our cloud for the web, your mail and your calendar. Prefer another provider? You can plug in your own API key.
When does it ship?
We will tell you the delivery window before we ask for the rest of the price. There is no date yet, and we give none until we can keep it.
Does it track sleep and health?
Not the first Lychnos Ring: it keeps its whole battery for conversation. Sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability, skin temperature, stress, blood oxygen and blood pressure trends are planned for the second model, as wellness insights rather than medical measurements.
Can it measure blood sugar?
No. No ring can do that reliably without a needle today, and the US FDA warns against devices that claim to. We plan to show readings from approved glucose monitors you already wear.
What does it cost?
The ring is expected at €299 with VAT, or $299 plus sales tax in the US. It needs the Lychnos plan for the assistant and mobile data: €9.99 ($9.99) a month for the first buyers in the first year; after that expected at €14.99 to €19.99 ($14.99 to $19.99).
