A private AI assistant, by design.

An assistant that knows your day knows a lot about you. So we decided early what it may hear, what it keeps, and what stays in your home, and we designed the hardware around those decisions.

Memory you control

Lychnos keeps a short memory so it can help: the people you mention, your plans, your preferences. You can read it, correct it and delete it in the app, at any time. What to expect of any assistant’s memory: AI assistant memory.

Code you can read

The ring’s firmware, the app and the Bluetooth protocol will be published under Apache-2.0, so anyone can check what the ring does with the button, the microphone and the radio. How this website handles data is in its privacy notice; the product will come with its own, listing everyone who processes your data. Why the ring has a button instead of a wake word: hold to talk versus wake words.

Questions

Does my data stay in the EU?

Our cloud is hosted in the EU. The text of your questions also goes to the company behind the AI model, which may process it elsewhere; the product's privacy notice will list those companies, and you can choose your own provider.

Can I delete everything?

Yes. You can delete what Lychnos remembers, disconnect any account, and close your account; we will publish the details with the app.
