For work

Run your workday from your finger.

Meetings, mail and the calendar pull you to the phone a hundred times a day. Lychnos Ring is being built to take most of those moments: a buzz for what matters, the first line on the ring, one press to agree.

What it does at work In development

In a meeting, politely

Looking at a phone in a meeting reads as not listening. A glance at a ring is shorter and quieter, and nothing lights up unless you look. The microphone is off unless you hold the button, so the ring does not listen to the meeting, and Lychnos does not record or transcribe the people around you.

What it needs from you

Your mail and calendar, connected once in the Lychnos app; after that the ring reaches Lychnos over its own eSIM. If your company manages your phone or your accounts, ask your IT team before you connect a work account: some companies limit which apps may read work mail.

Where it fits in the day

On the way to a meeting, between calls, at a desk with the phone face down, on a walk between buildings. For the long things, such as reading a contract or writing a report, your laptop stays the right tool. Questions

Will it read my work mail?

Only if you connect the account in the Lychnos app, and only to decide what to tell you. Your company’s rules may limit which apps can read work mail, so check with your IT team first.

Does it record meetings?

No. The microphone gets power only while you hold the button, and your voice clip is deleted once it has become text. It does not listen to the room or transcribe other people.

Can my employer see what I ask?

Your questions go to your own Lychnos account, not to your employer. Your company can usually see that an app has access to your work account, as with any app you connect.
