Looking for a Limitless Pendant alternative?

The Limitless Pendant was a clip-on recorder that turned what you heard into notes and summaries. In December 2025 Meta bought Limitless, and the pendant stopped being sold.

In short. The Limitless Pendant cost $99. After Meta bought the company, sales ended on 5 December 2025, and in the EU and the UK its service ended too. If you are choosing something new, decide first whether you want a recorder or an assistant, and whether it should listen all the time.

What to look for now

An assistant, not a recorder

Lychnos Ring is not a recorder. Its microphone works only while you hold the button, and it does not record the people around you. It is an assistant: you ask, it answers on the ring and at your ear, and it asks before it acts. Its firmware, app and protocol are planned as open source under Apache-2.0. It is in development, for Europe first. See how the rings you can read about compare in AI rings, compared.
