How it works

  1. Ask, right away.

No more reaching for your phone to look something up: hold the ring and say it.

  2. An answer, right away.

One buzz: the first line on the ring, the rest at your ear.

  3. Something sound wrong?

Repeat the claim. One long buzz means it does not hold up; it checks the claim, not the person.

  4. Pay with a tap.

Hold the ring to the till, and you have paid. Planned.

  5. It asks first.

Before it sends or changes anything: one press, yes. Two presses, stop.

At home, a companion that flies.

Coming later: Alkyon

A companion that flies around your home on its own, goes to look for you, and lands on its dock.

  1. X to cross a room.

  2. H for a narrow door.

  3. O to turn in tight spots.

  4. T to see ahead.

  • 1 m from people
  • Guards a finger cannot pass
  • Two presses on the ring: stop
  • Camera stays home

Alkyon at home (concept)

Small, and always close by.

Alkyon is designed to live on its dock, fly when you need it, and take turns with others, so one is always ready.

  • Small enough for a shelfAbout the size of a dinner plate with its arms open, with a design target under 250 g.
  • Comes when you callIt flies to find you, helps look for things and reminds you, then lands again. You talk with it while it rests: in flight its propellers are too loud for conversation.
  • Takes turnsSeveral can share one home and one map. When one runs low, it lands, its dock swaps the battery, and another is ready.
  • Keeps its distanceAt least 1 m from people, guards round its propellers, and two presses on your ring stop it.

A concept in development, for Europe only. In our simulation, eight robots swapped places in one room without touching, even with delayed and lost messages.

One charges, one flies, one keeps you company. Then they swap.

Most curious about

Questions.

When does it ship?

There is no date yet, and we give none until we can keep it. We tell you the delivery window before anyone pays.

Can I pre-order?

Not yet: pre-orders open once our terms have been reviewed. Join the free list and we will tell you first.

Why a monthly plan?

The ring has its own mobile data and runs Lychnos in our cloud, so it works without your phone. The plan pays for both. The first buyers get the founding price, €9.99 a month ($9.99 in the US), for the first 12 months.

Can I pay with it?

Tap to pay at shop terminals is planned, through a licensed payment partner: the ring holds a token, not your card number, and a lost ring can be frozen in the app. Which banks and cards work depends on that partner; we will say before anyone pays. Paying bills by voice comes later, only to payees you have approved, with your bank's own approval.

Is there a limit on talking?

No: talk as much as you like. Web and news searches come with a monthly allowance; when it runs out, Lychnos keeps talking and the searches wait for next month or Pro. The plan details come with the final price.

Do I need my phone?

Only to set it up. After that the ring talks to Lychnos over its own eSIM.

Where does my voice go?

To our cloud in the EU, where it becomes text; the clip is deleted right after. No voice is kept.

Will it be available outside Europe?

Pre-orders are planned in Europe and the United States, where the ring would ship only once the FCC has authorized it. Elsewhere, join the free list and we will tell you when. Alkyon is planned for Europe only for now.
